iPhone 6 will feature Wireless Charging according to a new report

According to surveys, the iPhone 6 is considered to be the most anticipated Apple smartphone of all the time. With that in mind, it’s not surprising that all sorts of rumors and speculations about the device are floating around these days. We already have some idea about its possible design and specs, but the latest rumors also talk a bit about its features. Among these features, we find connectivity options like Near Field Communication (NFC) and improved 4G capabilities. A report citing “sources close to the situation” also claims that the iPhone 6 will include Wireless Charging. While this feature isn’t exactly groundbreaking, we have to note that there isn’t a standard regarding Wireless Charging surfaces as of yet. The article mentions that Apple is now ready to commit to a standard, but the exact details are not yet known. But we do know that the iPhone 6 comes with a design that allows for energy transfer through an inductive charging surface.

Meanwhile, many other reports still talk about the upcoming device’s display. Rumors about this are plentiful, but are often in conflict with one another. However, most sources seem to agree that the iPhone 6 will come in two variants. Apple is well-aware that customers are hoping to see a bigger display on the flagship. One the other hand, not everybody finds huge panels to be all that appealing. So in an attempt to please everyone, the iPhone 6 will arrive with a 4.7-inch display, alongside a larger 5.5-inch(possibly 5.7-inch) version. Reports on the later are still a little vague, and rumor has it that this variant has been delayed so the company must have encountered some problems. The 4.7-inch version however seems to be on track and a release date is schedule for later this year, most likely around September. This variant of the upcoming flagship is said to come with 416 pixel density and 1704 x 960 resolution in order to preserve the 16:9 aspect ratio.

On the hardware side, we can expect to see either a quad-core A8 processor or an advanced version of the A7. The iPhone 6 will come with a shooter capable of capturing high quality images that’s said to be the best iPhone camera to date. Unfortunately further details are still scarce, with some sources suggesting a 13-megapixel sensor while others are saying 10MP+ is more likely. There is little to no information regarding the amount of RAM, battery life or other important specs. In regards to the price, we can expect Apple’s upcoming flagship to cost a bit more than your regular smartphone. The estimated sum revolves somewhere around the $700 mark for the 4.7-inch, according to analysts. The bigger version will cost about $100 more.

Last but not least, the iPhone 6 is believed to run on iOS 8, the new operating system recently unveiled by Apple at the WWDC. We’ll make sure to keep you up to date as soon as we learn anything else so stay tuned.
