Magrunner: Dark Pulse is now free on GOG

As part of their Summer Sale, Good Old Games is giving away free copies of the first-person puzzle game Magrunner: Dark Pulse. You better hurry though because the offer is only available for 24 hours. The game is reminiscent of Valve’s Portal and has you playing as Dax Ward, one of seven Magrunners selected to participate in a space training program. This seems like the chance of a lifetime for you, but alas something goes wrong. Doesn’t it always? Soon enough you will find yourself way in over your head as you have to confront none other than the Great Old Ones, creatures featured in the Cthulhu mythos.

Magrunner: Dark Pulse is basically a game that combines futuristic technology with themes inspired by the writings of H.P. Lovecraft. “Equipped with your Magtech glove, you must harness the ability to magnetically polarize and manipulate objects in the environment to survive and surpass challenging puzzles. Your reflexes and ingenuity will be pushed to their limits as you make your way through 40+ immense and dangerous levels, including high-tech training rooms and the endless chasms of the lost cosmos, on a path to confront the horrendous creatures of Cthulhu!”

In any case, Magrunner: Dark Pulse is free and it looks pretty good actually so go and give it a try. You can download the game from the GOG website. While you’re there check out some of the other games offered at a discount as part of the Summer Sale. Good Old Games usually offers the best bargains around, but during this period you can get a plethora of great titles even cheaper. There are 30 bundles currently available and flash sales are popping up on an hourly basis. Prices can go as low as 90% off so go check it out. Stay tuned for more news and updates.
