Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5 rumored to share the same color variety

We definitely don’t have a shortage of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 rumors these days, but the latest one is a little bit more believable than some of the others. The main reason being that it doesn’t announce anything too fancy, it just refers to the phablet’s possible colors. Word on the street is that the Note 4 and the Galaxy S5 will have more in common than just their manufacturer. The notorious leaker @evleaks revealed today that “Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will offer the same color selection as the Galaxy S5.” Up until this point the insider has been one of the most reliable third party sources out there so we’re inclined to believe him this time as well.

As for the color selection, Samsung Galaxy S5 comes in charcoal black, shimmery white, copper gold, and electric blue variants. If evleaks is right (and a lot of the time he is), the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will also have the same four models. However, there is the possibility that some of these colors will be carrier-exclusive. By comparison, the Galaxy Note 3 currently features jet black, classic white, blush pink, meteorite red, rose gold white, and rose gold black. Some of these models were released some time after the device was launched so we assume Samsung will add some more variation later down the road for the Galaxy Note 4 as well.

Even if this comes from a reliable source, it’s still just a rumor at the end of the day so we’ll have to treat it as such for the time being. The device is said to launch either at the IFA Trade Show in Berlin or shortly before that. Either way, sometime during early September, which is when Galaxy Note phablets have traditionally been announced. Until then all we really have to go on are rumors and speculations so might as well take a look at some of the others that are floating around these days.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is said to come with a 5.7-inch display, just like its predecessor. But unlike the Note 3, the upcoming phablet is rumored to feature a QHD 2560 x 1440 resolution curved OLED screen. Under the hood most optimists believe we’ll see the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor (possibly) running at 2.7 GHz, 3 GB RAM, Adreno 420 GPU, and a 12MP (some speculate 16MP) camera with OIS. As of the operating system, many people hope the Galaxy Note 4 will run on the upcoming Android L, but this seems more like wishful thinking if you ask me.

Bottom line is that reports are still conflicting and some rumors definitely seem more believable than others. I would say Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy S5 sharing the same colors fits into the believable rumors category. What do you think?
