Evolve Alpha invites are almost three weeks late already

A few weeks ago I was very excited to share the news that Evolve Alpha had been announced and that invites were being sent out soon. Turtle Rock Studios and 2K Games made the announcement on July 4th and also revealed the requirements for participating, which included completing a survey among other things. Upon completing the said survey you received a message saying that an email with further instructions would be sent to you in the following days. The mail was also meant to let you know if you had been selected to participate in the Evolve Alpha or not. Turtle Rock said that they were hoping the list of participants would be ready by July 5th and the testing phase was supposed to start around July 9th.

I signed up for it myself, but an email never came so I figured that I wasn’t eligible to participate and just forgot about the whole thing eventually. However, while browsing Reddit I came across several threads talking about the Evolve Alpha and I was surprised to find out that no one had received an invite so far. Turtle Rock announced at one point that the sign-in period was extended until July 13th, but didn’t go into further details. Community manager BubbleGumAnarchy on the other hand was willing to talk about the invites and emails.

She mentions that everybody who applied between July 3rd and July 13th will be taken into consideration when choosing the participants. She also confirms that no emails have been sent until now, but promises that she will let us know as soon as they do. In one of her comments BubbleGumAnarchy says that there is a very good reason for this delay and apologizes for it. The community manager didn’t say anything else helpful and neither did 2K or Turtle Rock unfortunately. So when can we expect to receive invites for the Evolve Alpha then? It’s anybody’s guess at this point and we’ll just have to be patient for a while longer it seems. I’m thinking that maybe they still have to work on the servers or are experiencing some other technical difficulties. Or maybe they want to add some more content that isn’t ready yet. Who knows? We’ll let you know as soon as we learn something so stay tuned.

Evolve will be released on October 21st for PC, PS4, and the Xbox One. As a side note, this stage of the Alpha will only be available for the PC.

About Egon Kilin

I’m Load The Game’s co-founder and community manager, and whenever I’m not answering questions on social media platforms, I spend my time digging up the latest news and rumors and writing them up. That’s not to say I’m all work and no fun, not at all. If my spare time allows it, I like to engage in some good old fashioned online carnage. If it’s an MMO with swords and lots of PvP, I’m most likely in it. Oh, and if you’re looking to pick a fight in Tekken or Mortal Kombat, I’ll be more than happy to assist!
