Bungie will support Destiny “a lot more aggressively” than its other titles

We’re now just a week away from the launch of Destiny and the hype train is stronger than ever. Everyone has big expectations from this game, but can Bungie deliver on its promise? The Beta certainly did not disappoint participants for the most part even if there were some complaints here and there. One on them revolved around the fact that Destiny doesn’t seem all that big at first glance as you only have four planets to explore. However, Bungie claims that this game is in fact so huge that it provides endless hours of fun and we shouldn’t judge it solely by the Beta as that was just a small taste of things to come.

“We saw people invest dozens of hours into the beta alone, and that was one destination,” Community Manager David Dague said. “These destinations are stitched together with our new tech so that there are so many different locations to visit. Expansive outdoor locations where you can just enjoy your personal vehicle; there are indoor dungeon-type spaces where you can really pick through the bones of our shattered civilization. If you’re a speed-runner, and all you want to do is blaze through and complete one story mission after one story mission, you’re really just scratching the surface, because the Strikes add such an extra level of complexity.”

Bungie promised on several occasions that we can expect to see a lot of new content further along the line. Dague himself stated that the company will be supporting Destiny more “aggressively” than any of their previous titles. This new content will include new locations to explore among other things and we might even see a new planet at some point. But there’s more than enough content now to keep everybody busy for quite a while after launch according to Bungie. Destiny will be released on September 9th for PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
