Forza Horizon 2 gets a launch trailer

Larry Hryb, also known as Major Nelson, the Xbox Director of Programming announced that players can get a taste of Forza Horizon 2 starting next week. A demo for the Xbox One version will be released on September 16 on the Xbox One Store. Unfortunately there aren’t any plans for a Xbox 360 demo. In addition to this, Microsoft has just released a launch trailer for Forza Horizon 2. The trailer shows stunning visuals and realism.

While there aren’t any details on what the demo will contain exactly, Microsoft announced that the full game will have over 200 cars and an open world that’s supposed to keep players busy for at least 100 hours. In addition to this, the game will feature a fully 3D sky simulation, as global lightning effects correspond to the movement of photons through the virtual atmosphere.

Forza Horizon 2 takes place during the fictional “Horizon Festival”, which is now held in Southern Europe. The regions that appear in the game are southern France and northern Italy. The drivable area is three times the size of the one from the first Forza Horizon game. You can explore the region and take part in races and special events in order to advance through the story. Forza Horizon 2 will also have new features such as the “Bucket List”, which is a group of challenges that players have to complete. There will be two sets of challenges, one for France and one for Italy. The developer announced that these challenges will be continuously updated so that there’s always something to do on the map. The other new feature is called “Car Meets”, and it is an online mode where players can meet online and compare their cars.

About Crisan Mircea

I'm a journalism graduate and an occasional gamer. As a kid I used to own a NES clone called "Terminator 2", which was hugely popular in my country. I like old school games and adventure games but I occasionaly play RPG's and Shooters as well, though I wouldn't call myself an expert at these kinds of games. When I'm not writing or playing games I prefer reading detective or fantasy novels.
