Trials Fusion welcomes players to the abyss

Publisher Ubisoft has just announced the third downloadable package for its latest entry in the Trials series, Trials Fusion. Entitled ‘Welcome to the Abyss’, this latest DLC sports ten new tracks, 24 new challenges, in addition to five new achievements and new objects for the track editor. Welcome to the Abyss launches on October 7th on the Xbox One and PC, while PlayStation 4 gamers will get it on October 8th. Season Pass owners will immediately get access to it, while riders without one will be charged £3.99 (about $10).

“In Welcome to the Abyss, players leave the clouds of Utopia in Empire of the Sky to explore mysterious ruins under the sea”, reads the official press-release. “Pristine stone relics mysteriously flow with energy from an unknown power source, enabling ancient machinery to continue operating. This wonder, combined with the proof of worship of an unidentified deity bring up questions for fearless riders to explore. Riders should proceed with caution though; there is more to these ancient ruins than what first meets the eye.”

If you’re interested in Trials Fusion’s Season Pass, know that it costs £15.99 (about $30), and that it gives you access to all previously-released DLC packs (Empire of the Sky and Riders of the Rustlands), in addition to Welcome to the Abyss and three other downloadable packages which will be released by May, 2015. Developed by RedLynx in collaboration with Ubisoft Shanghai and Ubisoft Kiev, Trials Fusion has sold over one million copies, and offers players an unlimited array of obstacles and challenges as they race against the clock to set track records. The game is set in the year 2042, after an object “fell from the sky and changed our world”, and after the creation of the ‘Anomaly A.I.’.

Trials Fusion was released back in April, and is available for purchasing on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC.
