Alien: Isolation gets two launch trailers

Ahead of the official release that takes place tomorrow, Sega released two new launch trailers for Alien: Isolation, their upcoming survival horror title based on the popular ‘Alien’ movie franchise.

There’s no big difference between the two Alien: Isolation trailers, as they both show basically the same thing. The first one, titled ‘Accolades’, shows the opinions of several reviewers that have played the game. There are two versions of this trailer: the US one, which shows what American reviewers like Gamefront, Gamesbeat or Gamesradar have to say about Alien: Isolation, and the International one, which includes various other reviews from Games TM, The Guardian or PC Gamer. The second trailer is similar to the first one, except that, instead of the critics’ opinions, it shows descriptions of the story. It’s called “Arrival”, and it explains the plot of the game. According to the trailer, in Alien: Isolation, Amanda Ripley, who has spent her entire life looking for answers regarding her mother’s disappearance, has finnaly found something. The trailer shows the beginning of Amanda’s journey, as she and her crew reach the Sevastopol space station that serves as the game’s ‘world’ and realize that they are not alone, and that the alien creature aboard is set to kill them one by one. Alien: Isolation is developed by Creative Assembly and published by Sega. It will be released tomorrow on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. According to the developer, Alien: Isolation is based on the original Ridley Scott film, “Alien”, and it features one single Alien that cannot be killed. This means that players have to use stealth tactics in order to survive. The game costs around $50 for last-gen consoles and around $60 for next-gen consoles.
