AMD is setting up a new Never Settle game bundle
AMD is preparing to update their Never Settle game bundle, but this information remains unconfirmed as online publication Fudzilla ranks it in the rumor section. However, the staff over at Fudzilla seem to have a very accurate source in their pockets which proved to be on point lately. The upcoming Tonga XT GPU is still carrying on without a release date, but AMD is working around the clock to get it out as soon as possible, telling AIBs to be on standby for the launch. Surely AMD feels the heat coming from Nvidia with their latest Maxwell cards release, and they will be planning to strike back in similar fashion to make a statement.
Most likely, the Tonga XT will be fitted on the Radeon R9 285X and will help close the gap on Nvidia’s GTX 970, if not outclass it in terms of performance. The current AMD Radeon R9 series is a good alternative to what Nvidia has to offer, but they will need a notable performance kick to be able to close in on second generation of Maxwell products. In the meantime, AMD is planning to release a new game bundle scheduled to launch later this month, according to this leak. The list of the games to be included remains unknown, although Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth is quite sure to make an appearance. AMD’s Never Settle: Space Edition is a game bundle reward for those gamers out there who are keen on buying the Radeon R9 series.
Every time you purchase an AMD Radeon R9 295X2, AMD Radeon R9 290X, AMD Radeon R9 290, AMD Radeon R9 285, AMD Radeon R9 280X, AMD Radeon R9 280, AMD Radeon R9 270X or AMD Radeon R9 270 Graphics, you qualify for the Radeon Gold reward. According to Fudzilla, “You have three choices for a number of free application key codes and an option to choose from AAA games and/or Indie Pack (Indie x 2). One Indie Pack means two bundled Indie Games and it’s counted as one choice. One AAA Game also counts as one choice.” This Never Settle reward campaign expires on January 31st, 2015, so make sure you grab your favorite titles by then.
