A new Destiny update is now available

Bungie announced that a new hotfix for Destiny goes out today. According to the former Halo developer, Patch 1.0.2.2 includes several changes to weapon balance across archetypes. Additionaly, the new update will modify the characteristics of specific weapons, such as the Vex Mythoclast and the Pocket Infinity, and will fix the issues with the Templar encounter in the Vault of Glass.

Among the changes implemented by Bungie through the new update, the bug where the Valkyrie-O5X Ship was the same as the Aurora Lance was fixed. Additionally, the developer tweaked some of the classes’ features. Titans should know that the issue with the Unbreakable perk, that was granting them too much agility, was fixed. Also, Warlocks will now be able to activate the Brimstone Perk even if they are airborne. Destiny also gets several changes in the weapons department. Therefore, certain issues related to quick weapon swapping are now fixed; the Base Damage of Auto Rifles was decreased by 2%, the in-air accuracy fo the Hand Cannons was increased, the Scout Rifles’ Base Damage was increased by 6%, and the list goes on. To find out the full list of changes, all you have to do is go to the Bungie’s official site.

Destiny is an online first person shooter, set in a science fiction open world. The game was developed by Bungie and published by Activision on September 9, 2014, on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One. It’s notable that the developer made a ten-year publishing deal with Activision, which means that they are planning to support the game and keep it alive for that period (which is basically about as long as a console’s life span). Since it’s launch, Destiny quickly became a best-selling game, easily surpassing every title released in the same period. Activision CEO Erik Hirshberg spoke about the prospect of a PC version of Destiny. “You know, developing on PC is a different animal than developing for consoles”, he says, “and so we just want to make sure that we’re putting one foot in front of the other and getting it right, and that it’s of the highest possible quality”. This, in short, means that we can expect Destiny on PC sometime in the future, but that Bungie still has to figure out how to proceed with it.

About Crisan Mircea

I'm a journalism graduate and an occasional gamer. As a kid I used to own a NES clone called "Terminator 2", which was hugely popular in my country. I like old school games and adventure games but I occasionaly play RPG's and Shooters as well, though I wouldn't call myself an expert at these kinds of games. When I'm not writing or playing games I prefer reading detective or fantasy novels.
