Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 specs and camera leaked online
The Samsung Galaxy Grand 3 will be the successor of the Grand 2, which is the company’s iteration of a mid-range phablet. While the release and announcement of the device hasn’t been made oficial yet, specs of the new phablet have already leaked online and point towards a pretty nice improvement compared to the Galaxy Grand 3 predecessor. Phablets are becoming the norm nowadays, posing pretty sensible competition to even 7 inch tablets. Since the Galaxy Note 4 and Nexus 6 saw the light of day, it seems that companies are trying to catch up with their own phablets. While Samsung already has a pretty saturated portfolio, it seems that the Galaxy Grand 3 will be the newest addition to the line.
The Galaxy Grand 3 specs have leaked online in the past couple of days and point towards a 64 bit device, with a pretty good camera and an average dispay. The handset will supposedly sport a 5.5 inch display with a 1280*720 resolution. While the display is bigger than on the Grand 2, the resolution is the same, which is not something we would have expected. Supposedly, the Galaxy Grand 3 will have a 64 bit Snapdragon 410 CPU running the show, accompanied by the Adreno 305 GPU. The RAM should end up being around 1.4 GB, which would be a downgrade from the Galaxy Grand 2, so we’re not sure if this part of the leak is accurate. Otherwise, the Galaxy Grand 3 should come with 12 GB internal storage, 13 MP front camera and a 5 MP selfie shooter, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. While many Grand fans would have liked to see NFC on the device, the leaks point towards the contrary. Take this with a pinch of salt, though, at least until we get official word from Samsung.
While you can see that there aren’t any massive improvements to talk about when it comes to comparing the Galaxy Grand 3 with its predecessor, the existing ones are enough for Samsung to say that they have released a new smartphone. In any case, the Galaxy Grand 3 will be a mid-range smartphone and should be released in December. Its predecessor was announced in November 2013, so we are expecting official word from Samsung in the next few weeks. A release date for the Grand 3 should end up being sometime in December, and its price should be below $300 if Samsung knows what’s good for them.
