Goat MMO Simulator Announced
Coffee Stain Studios, the makers of the fine game Goat Simulator, have announced Goat MMO Simulator, an upcoming patch that adds an MMO game to base Goat Simulator. It is a completely free DLC addition and only requires you to have already installed Goat Simulator. You can currently purchase Goat Simulator for $9.99 and it is available on PC, Mac and Linux. Goat MMO Simulator places you, a goat, in the world of an MMO, complete with ragdoll physics and classic RPG elements.
The listed features for Goat MMO Simulator are full of strange and nonsensical details. One of the five classes you can play as is Microwave, which gets lots of time in the trailer’s spotlight. There will be quests to take on and the level cap is 101, more than most RPGs out there. One character listed is, “Dumblebore the Grey in Twistram” a riff on both Harry Potter and Diablo. You will get the opportunity to fight sheep, the goats worst enemy. And of course there are elves and dwarves, because it’s a fantasy setting. The other boring classes you can play as are Warrior, Rogue, Magician and Hunter. Really though, we will all be trying out Microwave first thing. It’s a microwave with two feet!
Goat Simulator was released on April 1, 2014. The game focuses on delivering the most realistic goat simulation, complete with being able to use your tongue to drag anything behind you. The developers, Coffee Stain Studios, created it for pure comedy and to make the most buggy, yet enjoyable, game out there. The goal of Goat Simulator is to gather points by causing destruction in an open world. The launch trailer for Goat Simulator was a riff on the popular Dead Island launch trailer that utilized reverse slow motion. A cooperative patch was added over the summer, allowing you to experience the game with friends in the same world. Goat MMO Simulator will launch on November 20.
