Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix Receives Two New Trailers

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix is less than a week away from release. Ahead of the release, Square Enix has revealed two new trailers for the collection, showcasing some of the worlds and characters that players will find in the collection.

The first trailer released on the PlayStation Blog (both trailers can be seen below) is entitled “Disney Worlds Connect,” which highlights some the worlds that players will go to within the three game collection. Some of the worlds shown include Neverland from Peter Pan, Olympus Coliseum from Hercules, 100 Acre Wood from Winnie the Pooh, The Pride Lands from The Lion King, Space Paranoids from Tron, Port Royal from Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and more.

The “Final Fantasy Worlds Connect” trailer shows off some of the Final Fantasy characters that players will encounter on their journey through Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix. The trailer gives a glimpse at who will make an appearance throughout the three games. Cameos include Setzer from Final Fantasy VI, Aerith, Cloud, Tifa, and Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII, Squall from Final Fantasy VIII, Auron from Final Fantasy X, and more.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix will include three remastered games: Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep Final Mix, and Kingdom Hearts Re:coded. The Final Mix version of both Kingdom Hearts 2 and Birth by Sleep were never released outside of Japan, making this the first time they are available internationally. Both iterations of these games add extra content, making them the definitive versions of the games. Kingdom Hearts Re:coded is featured in a theater mode, allowing players to see over three hours of cutscenes originally featured in the original game. This version of the title also includes new scenes not seen in the original.

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix launches in North America December 2nd, and in Europe on December 5th. The title will be available on the PlayStation 3. Those who preorder the Standard Edition of the title will automatically receive an upgrade to the Limited Edition, which includes an exclusive Disney collectable pin.
