Capcom Director Teases New Game

Capcom has been on a news roll lately. With the announcement of Street Fighter V, Capcom has been busy. Don’t be fooled though, Capcom has something else to announce here soon. This time though it may be a little surprising to hear what they have to announce, while it isn’t certain, Capcom recently trademarked Dragon’s Dogma Online. A director from Capcom has somewhat confirmed suspicions though, as it is Capcom’s Hideaki Itsuno, the director of Dragon’s Dogma, who stated:

“We’ve got several games in the pipeline right now. One of them is even in the last stages right now. We should be able to announce it soon.”

The news comes from Gematsu. It is also interesting because the Capcom director took part in a questionnaire that involved over 100 game developer’s. He isn’t the only person to chime in though as Dragon Dogma’s producer also had some words about a game announcement:

“We’re working really hard to get ready for people to learn about what we have coming up in 2015 and get them excited to play those games.”
Capcom has a good amount of things coming out for the PS4. They have been working closely with Sony on titles such as Deep Down and Street fighter V. It should be rather interesting to see if Capcom has another exclusive for Sony in their pocket. While we can’t say for sure if it is Dragon’s Dogma Online, it seems very likely as the trademark was placed recently.
Capcom should speak more on the topic soon, but right now it seems as if we already know what is coming. It may seem unlikely for Dragon’s Dogma Online to be Sony exclusive, but with them working so closely to Sony, it wouldn’t be too surprising. We should hear more from Capcom rather soon here and it will be interesting to see what else the company is bringing to the table in 2015.
