EVE Online Throwing a Holiday Celebration

EVE Online had a busy year in 2014. To celebrate the year, and the holidays, CCP games is giving every subscriber a few gifts.

For every gamer subscribed to EVE Online, CCP will be giving out a few items. On the EVE Online Community site, CCP announced that players will be receiving 2 Festive Launchers. Along with the launchers, players will receive snowballs and three types of fireworks. Along with those items, players will also get a male and female “Outlaw” jacket. Also, gamers will receive 20 trinkets. These trinkets celebrate some of the famous, and infamous, events that happened in the game over the last 12 months, and a number of achievements made in the community. Finally, all subscribers will get 20 days of multiple character training.

CCP is celebrating a number of events that have happened over the past year. This includes The Camel Empire succeeding in Alliance Tournament XII, the Bloodbath of B-R5Rb, Warlords of the Deep taking the New Eden Open II, and an ongoing series of large scale battles in HED-GP throughout the year. A fanfest was held at the start of May, followed up by player gatherings hosted around the world in cities including London, San Francisco, Tokyo, Vancouver, Glasgow, and Cologne. The EVE Online community also assisted Bacchanalian of Rote Kapelle to raise over $16,400for the Extra Life children’s charity.

Available since 2003, EVE Online now has over 500,000 subscribers. At launch, the game received mixed reviews, but received more favorable reviews later in its lifecycle. EVE Online has received various rewards, and became one of 14 games to be incorporated in the Museum of Modern Art’s exhibition. The game’s soundtrack was composed by Jon Hallur Haraldsson, also known as Real-X.

EVE Online is available on the PC. All of the gifts that CCP is giving away can be redeemed now, and can be claimed until January 11th, 2015.
