Final Fantasy Type-0 HD “Traitors of Orience” Trailer Released
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD will be hitting North American shores this coming March. To help with the anticipation of the title, Square Enix has released a new trailer for the game.
The new trailer for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is titled “Traitors of Orience.” The trailer can be seen below. The new trailer follows the “Orience News Special Report” trailer that was released for Final Fantasy Type-0 HD earlier this week. The new trailer shows “the student’s arrogance and petty in-fighting within the group.” Square Enix has declared it to be a “new propaganda film” in response to the first trailer by in-game character High Commander Marshal Cid Aulstyne. The end of the trailer also reminds gamers that the Final Fantasy XV demo will be packaged with Type-0, though only the Day One Edition will include the demo.
A part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis subseries, Final Fantasy Type-0 shares the same mythos that includes the Final Fantasy XIII trilogy and Final Fantasy XV. The game released in Japan in 2011, and will be coming overseas for the first time in 2015. Unlike the turn-based gameplay of other Final Fantasy titles, Type-0 is more reminiscent of Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII with fast-paced gameplay. The player is allowed control of three characters, and can swap between them at any time. Each character has their own summoned monster, including classic summonings such as Ifrit, Shiva, and Odin.
The HD version of Type-0 will bring a few differences from the original title. In the original title there were three difficulty levels: normal, hard, and impossible. Now there will be four: easy, normal, hard, and super hard. The original game featured a multiplayer mode that was removed for the HD version, with magic previously only available in multiplayer being incorporated into single player. Additional DLC costumes for characters have been added to Type-0 HD as unlockables, along with costumes unique to the HD version.
Final Fantasy Type-0 will release on March 17th. The title will release on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. A limited edition package for the game will also be released.
