Nokia Lumia 1320 successor rumored to pack 14 MP PureView camera
A successor to the Nokia Lumia 1320 seems to be in the works and may end up being called Lumia 1330. As you might expect, the device is said to arrive with various improvements over the original, although that shouldn’t be too hard to accomplish as the original is a lower-end phone. This next one however looks to tilt more towards the middle judging by some of its leaked specs. If the recently surfaced information is true, the successor to the Nokia Lumia 1320 will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, Adreno 305 GPU, 1 GB of RAM, and 32 GB of internal storage memory. These specs may not seem like much but they are definitely an upgrade over the current model.
Moving on, the display of the Nokia Lumia 1320 was what really made it special as at over 6-inches in size, it transformed the phone into one of the few affordable phablets. Now, it seems like Microsoft will be trimming down the screen a bit for the next iteration, which is said to feature a 5.7-inch panel with 720 x 1080 resolution. All that being said, the main highlight here will undoubtedly be the camera. While the Nokia Lumia 1320 only came with a less than impressive 5 MP primary shooter, its successor is expected to feature a 14 MP PureView camera. In addition, there will apparently also be another 5 MP selfie snapper on the front.
Finally, the Lumia 1330 is rumored to run on the Windows Phone GDR 2 operating system. It goes without saying that the “Nokia” brand will not be appearing on this phone, or on any other future Lumia for that matter. Instead, Microsoft will put their own name on the Nokia Lumia 1320 sequel, just like they did with the Lumia 535. As for a possible release date, the tech giant is said to announce the smartphone in March at the WMC 2015 and launch it shortly after.
