The LG G4 is not coming to CES, but March is a likely release date

LG G4 will not appear at CES, but it will at MWC

Even though our hopes were high about the LG G4 showing up at CES 2015, at least for a demo of a prototype, it seems the handset will not be stepping into the limelight just yet. Nonetheless, MWC 2015, the next show we are looking forward to, might be the host of the behemoth. The handset from the modest company will most likely have a hard time making its way to the top, since the company can’t do many improvements to the handset seeing as the LG G3 was already quite the hit.

The LG G4 will be the next flagship from the Seoul-based company and it will most likely tout the new bezel-free display the company has been working on in the past year. That means that while the phone won’t be too innovative, it will certainly have a screen to ogle. Latest leaks suggest that the LG G4 has been given model number LG-F510L. That model number has shown up in a Geekbench benchmark, and we think it’s the anticipated handset because it features Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 810 CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. With these specs, the handset will definitely be able to compete with other upcoming devices like the Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9, hands down.

Even though the LG G4 would have been a disappointment without an upgraded CPU and we couldn’t expect less of the company, a benchmark appearance still offers some sort of relief for fans who are excited about the handset. Besides the latest in terms of CPU, the flagship will sport Android 5.0.1 Lollipop with a little Optimus on top, as well as an upgraded camera, most likely with a 20 MP sensor on the rear and a 5 MP sensor on the front. The handset’s most interesting feature will be its design, though. With the raging success of the LG G3, its successor should up the ante quite a bit and become one of the most impressive devices being shown off at MWC 2015 in March.

About Egon Kilin

My life-long dream has been to test out every gadget on the market! Considering the fact that I've rapidly destroyed almost every gadget I've had so far, I'm not inclined to owning something, so my ideal outcome would be to have a different gadget each month. I'm really into smartphones, wearables and tablets and I love Playstation and Xbox, I'm sure I'll beat you at your own game (after a month of training... or two)
