Xiaomi Mi Note Plus specs revealed thanks to AnTuTu

Despite having recently launched the Xiaomi Mi Note and Mi Note Pro, the Chinese manufacturer is already busy developing yet another mobile device. A recently uncovered listing found on the Antutu benchmarking database suggests that we might be looking at a new phablet soon as the device in question goes by the name of Xiaomi Mi Note Plus. However, we can’t confirm the phablet status just yet since the listing doesn’t mention the display size, although it does say that we can expect a resolution of 1440 x 2560 megapixels, which can usually only be found on larger smartphones.

The Xiaomi Mi Note Plus will apparently also pack an octa-core ARMv7 processor with Adreno 430 GPU. While it doesn’t specify, this CPU is believed to be the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810. Sure enough, this processor can also be found on the Note Pro so it seems very likely that Xiaomi would equipped the Plus variant with it as well. Finally, the Antutu listing also talks about a 13MP primary camera and Android 5.0 Lollipop straight out of the box. Interestingly, this alleged specs list for the Xiaomi Note Plus coincides perfectly with that of the Note Pro. It’s unclear why the Chinese tech giant would want to launch two devices with identical hardware as that would make very little sense.

Since we don’t know the display size yet, it’s possible that the Plus could be somewhat bigger than the Pro, which at 5.7 inches is already pretty huge to be honest. Alternatively, this new device might feature a different design. Samsung has already done this with the Note 4/Note Edge combo so it’s entirely possible. Then again, all this info about the Xiaomi Mi Note Plus didn’t come from the company, which means that it’s just a rumor for now so take it for what it is. We’ll keep you updated in case we learn some new details about this device. Stay tuned.
