LEGO Announces LEGO Avengers and LEGO Jurassic Park Video Games

LEGO, in their seemingly endless quest to take over the world of entertainment as we know it, has confirmed that it will release two video games this year; one on Marvel’s hit movie and comic franchise “The Avengers”, and another set in the “Jurassic Park” universe. The video games are set to release near the timing of the new films “Avengers: Age of Ultron” and “Jurassic World,” with LEGO: Marvel’s Avengers set to release in June and LEGO: Jurassic World set to release in Autumn. Alongside the two new games, Warner Bros. also confirmed that last year’s LEGO Batman 3 would also be arriving on iOS this spring, along with another game based off The LEGO Movie exclusively for mobile platforms.

In May, Marvel is set to debut their brand new Avengers movie, Age of Ultron. With a huge hit counter on YouTube, its no surprise that LEGO and Marvel would team up for a video game. LEGO Marvel’s Avengers will let players experience both the storylines from The Avengers and the upcoming sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron in their quest to save humanity from alien invasions.

Over the summer, Steven Spielberg is set to release his new Jurassic Park film starring Chris Pratt, who has no doubt been blowing up the internet recently. Therefore, arriving in June, LEGO Jurassic World follows the storylines of all three previous Jurassic Park movies and this summer’s Jurassic World.

Following the success of The LEGO Movie and its current franchises with Marvel, DC, Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars, just to name a few, gamers can probably come to expect more than a handful of upcoming LEGO video games over the next couple months. Both games will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3, PS Vita, Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC.
