D&D’s Neverwinter: Elemental Evil Module Slated for March

Perfect World Entertainment has announced in a press release today that the Element Evil module of Dungeons & Dragon’s Neverwinter will release for PC on Tuesday, March 17th. With the addition of this new chapter to Cryptic Studio’s MMORPG, players will have access to the new Paladin class and an increase to their level cap. Furthermore, Minsc and Boo, the ranger and miniature giant space hamster respectively, will be making a return with Neverwinter: Elemental Evil’s storyline.

The two characters belong to the Buldur’s Gate series, and they will both be assisting players on their journey as they venture off to discover what lies behind the Elemental Evil cults. The new Paladin class is the eighth playable classes in Neverwinter’s roster, and allows players an avenue to create a hero focused on healing and tanking. The level cap has been increased by 10, bring the previous maximum of 60 to 70. The Elemental Evil storying also introduces a new set of quests, along with more slottable class feature powers and feats.

Within the Elemental Evil storyline itself, players will experience new adventures as the face off the newest threat to Protector’s Enclave, the Cults of Elemental Evil, who are out to destroy sword coast by taking advantage of the forces of nature. Cryptic Studios’ and Perfect World Entertainment’s partnership with Wizards of the Coast has allowed for Neverwinter to follow the official Dungeons & Dragons storylines, so this new enemy’s appearance in Elemental Evil coincides with their introduction to the Dungeons & Dragon’s tabletop game via the upcoming release of Princes of the Apocalypse.

Neverwinter is a fast-paced free-to-play title based on the Dungeons & Dragons universe, where players can explore the vast city of Neverwinter, a place where vivid in-game history can be learned, and fight many enemies while exploring dungeons. The game is touted to authentically recreate many of the tabletop’s classes, locations and encounters, and even features a toolset that lets players create their own adventures, which can be directly linked to world of Neverwinter for everyone to play. Further information on the game can be found via Arc and Steam.
