Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection Release Date Revealed

Do you love Uncharted? Good, so does just about everybody else who plays on Playstation. Nathan Drake stole our hearts years ago with trademark wit, good looks, and just enough story to make us give him some respect as a character. What’s more, the Uncharted games as a whole proved to be system-sellers for the PS3, and no doubt the PS4 as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End approaches.

While it was leaked a few days ago, today on the Naughty Dog Blog (Naughty blog?) it was announced that the ultimate remastered collection of Uncharted is coming. Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will be releasing on October 9th, and will be bringing with it tons of goodies. Not only will you get to enjoy all three of the previous Uncharted games remastered on PS4 (That’s right, 1080p and 60 FPS.) but you’ll also get exclusive access to the multiplayer beta of Uncharted 4.

This is something that fans have been asking for a long time now, especially after seeing the PS4 remaster of The Last Of Us be such an all-out improvement over its already great original. Having the opportunity to binge the Uncharted trilogy in beautiful HD is going to be something that diehard fans won’t be able to miss, and hopefully the remaster proves to be a true overhaul, and not just a half-baked spit and polish.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a AAA release without some pre-order bonuses. If you decide to pre-order Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection, you’ll receive the “Nathan Drake Pack” (the most original name of all time) and get “single player skins of iconic Drake outfits as well as everyone’s favorite weapons: the Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns.” Also, if you pre-order the digital edition, you can get a dynamic PS4 theme on your PS4 available to download right now.

This is huge for fans of the Uncharted franchise, especially ones like myself who put a whole lot of value in graphical fidelity and framerate. To see Uncharted in the 60 FPS we’ve always wanted it in will be a treat to behold, and more than worth buying the trilogy over again, in my eyes. Be sure to keep an eye out for this on October 9th, when it hits shelves.
