Xbox Ultimate Summer Sale Breakdown

Starting next week, the Xbox Ultimate Summer Sale will begin; to get the hype ball rolling, Xbox’s Major Nelson has released a teaser trailer showcasing some of the deals. The Xbox summer sales are never of the same caliber as other grand sales, like Steam’s Summer Sale, but Xbox is promising a whopping 70 discounted games between July 7th and July 13th. But they’re promising that these will be their best deals of the Summer. And that’s something to get excited about.

If the Xbox Ultimate Summer Sale is anything like their prior sales, you can probably expect some of those deals to slowly roll out over the weekend towards the sale’s end. All of these games will be between 40-50% off, with up to an additional 10% off for Gold Members. In a best case scenario, you’re looking at a good 60% off of a few of those titles. That’s not a bad discount. With the sale only five days away, I broke down the trailer to let you know what games you can expect to see.

The grand total of 70 games looks to be split between the Xbox 360 and the Xbox One, so don’t expect up to 70 games on either console. So far, Xbox’s trailer has only announced 13 of the 70 games that will be on sale.
