‘Gato Roboto’ and ‘Gunbrella’ Developer Doinksoft Acquired by Devolver Digital

Doinksoft, creators of Gato Roboto, the physical-only Demon Throttle, and the upcoming run-and-gun title Gunbrella, have been bought by publisher Devolver Digital.

The acquisition was announced on Twitter, with Devolver calling it “a historic event” and including a humorous graphic that will appear familiar to anyone who has been keeping up with Microsoft’s recent acquisitions of Bethesda and Activision Blizzard.

What’s up with the odd choice to feature the key art for Red Dead Redemption 2? So that’s what Devolver considers to be a funny aside. The publisher has made no secret of its preference for Rockstar Games’ western adventure throughout the years, even asking for Grand Theft Auto 6 to be scrapped in favor of Red Dead Redemption 3. In other words, Devolver, keep dreaming.

Although Doinksoft has only given a release window of ‘2023’ for its next game Gunbrella, the announcement trailer below suggests that it will be worth keeping an eye on.
