LG F60 price, specs and release date announced

LG has been quite silent the past month, except for the newly launched LG G Watch R, the round-faced smartwatch designed to compete against the popular Moto 360. No wonder LG has been a bit off the grid since the LG G3 has enjoyed great success since it was launched, providing for quite some publicity and popularity for the company.

The time has come, though, for new information to surface about the company in the smartphone market, especially with so many new releases like the Galaxy Note 4, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, HTC One M8 Eye, Oppo N3 and the rumored Sony Xperia Z3X. It seems that LG is planning the release of the LG F60, an LTE enabled mid-range handset. Since it will be a mid-range device, its competitors will most likely be the HTC Desire 820, the Lenovo Vibe Z2, Samsung Galaxy A5, A3 and A7, ZTE ZMAX, Lumia 830 and the Galaxy Grand Prime, among others.

LG has announced the LG F60 4G LTE handset this week, along with the LG F60 price, release date and specs. The LG F60 will sport a quad core Snapdragon 400 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz, backed by 1 GB RAM, 4 or 8 GB internal storage, a 5 MP rear shooter and a 1.3 MP selfie camera. The LG F60 display will be a 4.5 inch IPS display with an 800*400 resolution and 207 ppi pixel density. The LG F60 will run Android 4.4.2 KitKat and will be powered by an average 2100 mAH battery.

LG has recently introduced two other mid-range forms, the LG L Bello and LG L Fino, which have similar specs to the LG F60. The LG F60 will also feature KnockCode, gesture shot and the LG G3 UX software on top of Android. The mid-range smartphone will retail for around $250 or $300, much like the LG L Bello and L Fino lines and will probably be on sale by next week. Although LG hasn’t mentioned pricing, these estimates don’t seem too far-fetched considering the competition and history of LG products the past year.
