Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will feature cross-buy
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare cross-buy will be available on Xbox 360 and Xbox One and PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 for a limited time, according to Activision.
The publisher announced that the cross-buy offer is available until March 31st, 2015, for all versions. So if you buy Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Digital Base, Digital Pro or Season Pass on PlayStation 3, you will be able to download the same edition on PlayStation 4 for free. Same goes for the Xbox versions and the process works vice-versa as well. If you pre-ordered the game before this announcement was made, you don’t have to worry, as you can still benefit of the cross-buy offer.
If you pre-order Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, you will be able to pre-load the game on the console you paid for. The other version will be available to you starting with the official release date. Regarding DLC, if it is due to arrive after the deadline, but you pre-purchased it prior to March 31st, you will still be able to get it cross-platform for free.
In order for the cross-buy to work, you need to download the purchased version. Then, log into your console using the same Sony Entertainment Network or Microsoft Account that you used to purchase the game and download your free version.
Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is developed by Sledgehammer Games (the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions) and High Moon Studios (PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions) and published by Activision. The game will be released on November 4, 2014. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is the eleventh entry in the franchise and the first game that is part of Activision’s three years development cycle.It is also the first one in the series that doesn’t get a release on Nintendo platforms, since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2.
