Grand Theft Auto V To Get A New Patch

Rockstar has stated it is “urgently” looking into an issue that prevents some Grand Theft Auto V players from transferring their Online characters to the PS4 or Xbox One editions if they haven’t played the multiplayer since 2013. Players are reporting that those who haven’t logged in since then are receiving a message which reads, “No previous Grand theft Auto Online data is associated with your Social Club account.” As an additional problem, trying to log back into GTA Online on the PS3 or Xbox 360 editions doesn’t seem to be possible, either.

Rockstar has posted an update promising it is:

“urgently looking into an issue preventing character transfer and Grand Theft Auto Online login on accounts that haven’t played GTA Online since 2013. If you would like to receive an automatic email notification as soon as there is more information, please log into the Support Site and click Subscribe at the top of this page. Apologies for any inconvenience caused, and thanks for your patience.”

Hopefully Rockstar manages to sort the problems soon. Recent stats released by the studio reveal over 33 million players in 224 countries have taken the multiplayer mode for a spin and the 30-player events available in the re-release are set to be pure chaotic fun. Soon after their original announcement, Rockstar has explained it is currently fixing the issue for PS4 owners, with an Xbox One fix coming by tomorrow. The studio has also explained anyone who tries to download the patch but encounters the “CE-32937-4” error code should try to download again later, as it may just be a regional issue.

“We are currently addressing this issue with a patch for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 users,” it reads. “This patch is available for download, but may not be available in your region for the next few hours. If you attempt to download the patch and see a ‘CE-32937-4’ error, please attempt to download the patch again later today. This issue will be addressed for Xbox One and Xbox 360 users by tomorrow. Affected PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players can still log in to Grand Theft Auto Online  but will not be able to transfer characters until the fix is in place.”
