Fallout 4 could be made official at Pax South and why

At pretty much every major gaming event from the past two years we’ve kept an ear out in the hopes that Fallout 4 would finally make an appearance. No luck so far, but we will continue the tradition this weekend with Pax East 2015, which is already underway and will last until Sunday, January 25th. Out of all the gaming events scheduled to take place this year, Pax East might be one of the less likely for a big announcement like that, but that doesn’t mean we should rule out the possibility just yet. Now, we assume that we should be able to learn some official details before a big title is unveiled but back in the day games weren’t teased so much before getting announced. For all we know Bethesda could be going old school and preparing a surprise Fallout 4 announcement when we least expect it.

Needless to say, Pax South would be an ideal place for such an announcement and there are some other people who would agree. Youtuber MrMattPlays who seems to cover all the rumors and speculations related to Fallout 4 also believes that an announcement is possible because Bethesda will not “give out any signs” or hype the game up before making it official. In other words, it could be revealed at any time. That said, we won’t necessarily hold our breath at Pax South, but we will be keeping an ear to the ground just in case.

Another good place to make an announcement would be Pax East and not only because the event is bigger, but mostly because it takes place in Boston. As you probably know by now, there are many rumors saying that Fallout 4 will also take place in Boston and Pax East would definitely make more sense if this city would indeed serve as the location for the game. However, there isn’t any evidence to support these rumors and many have already dismissed them a while ago, so keep that in mind. As it stands, the best indication that Fallout 4 is even in development is a tweet posted by Kotaku’s Jason Schreier back in December in which he claimed that an announcement would arrive in “the next few months.” Naturally, that points more towards Pax East than Pax South, but as mentioned, we don’t want to rule out any possibilities just yet.
