Lenovo Flex 2, A540, B50 and G50 available soon

Lenovo is adding a new laptop to its series of convertible devices. The Lenovo Flex 2 is available with 14-inch or 15.6-inch touchscreen that can rotate 300 degrees, making it easier to use in the tablet mode, for instance, when enjoying a movie. From this point of view, the Flex 2 is similar to the previous models, also maintaining the Intel Haswell processor options. The new laptops differ from the original models by providing other upgrade possibilities, and they are available at reasonable prices.

The 14-inch Flex 2 laptops come with various Intel processor options including the latest Haswell Core i7 processor, a battery with 6 hours of backup and Nvidia GeForce 820M graphics card, while the 15.6-inch Flex 2 laptops come with AMD Radeon R5 M230.

Their storage options are more robust compared to the first Flex laptop, that featured only an 8GB SSD. The new Lenovo Flex laptops can storage up to 1TB, they have discreet graphics (depending on your choice, Nvidia GeForce  or AMD Radeon R5 M230) and full HD 1,920×1,080 displays. The Flex 2 laptops also come with the Dolby Advanced Audio v2 technology and built-in stereo speakers.

The Flex 2 has sleek design, with slim aluminum chassis that gives it an elegant appearance and it’s available in five color options. The laptops will be available in June costing $429 or $799, depending on which model you choose, of course the 14-inch model is more expensive.

Besides the Fex 2 laptops, Lenovo also announced the A540 all-in-one desktop, also with a sleek aluminum chassis and a bright, full HD (1,920×1,080) resolution, 23.8-inch display. A540 has a built-in cam that recognizes mid-air gestures, controlling media without actually touching the display. The Lenovo A540 runs with Windows 8.1, equipped with an Intel Core i7 processor and Nvidia GeForce GT 840A graphics card, and will be available this June for $1,279.99.

Lenovo announced two other devices, one of them is the 15-inch Lenovo B50, with a choice of Intel and AMD processors like the fourth-generation Core i7 or the A8 CPUs and discrete graphics from AMD and Nvidia it comes with a standard DVD burner/player, up to 1TB of hard drive and an optional fingerprint reader.

The other laptop is the Lenovo G50 that runs with Windows 8.1 and comes with up to an Intel Core i7 processor and AMD R5-M230 graphics, featuring Dolby Advanced Audio v2, an HD (720p) display and webcam and Lenovo’s VeriFace Pro facial-recognition software. Both laptops will be available in July and are rather inexpensive, costing only $399 each.
