The MSI GS60 Ghost is thinner than ever. But is it worth the price?

The MSI GS60 Ghost is a laptop for gaming on-the-go, light and thin enough to be carried everywhere. Even though it looks lighter and thinner, its components are stronger than ever. It packs an Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M graphics card, an Intel Core i7 – 4700HQ quad-core processor, 16 GB of RAM, 128 GB solid-state drive for the operating system partition and an additional 750 GB hard drive for the rest. It weighs 4.3 pounds and it measures just under an inch thick.  It wears Windows 8.1 and it has a 15.6 inch display and the given price is $1699. Did MSI exaggerate when asking this much for the laptop?

Maybe it is not too expensive for what it has to offer. Taking into consideration that Ghost users generally will be looking for a device that can support them on their creative work and let them game easily, this device offers everything on a silver platter. More than that, the design highlights the user’s taste for quality, being one of the thinnest gaming laptops on the market right now.

What’s not that impressive about the MSI GS60 Ghost is the battery life. The battery lasts only 3 hours (after lab testing) and there’s something else that might disappoint those who would be willing to give out the $1700. The laptop cover and the keyboard seem to be low-cost and very fragile and we might wonder whether something better, stronger, should cover up this amazing technology inside, or not.  Even the calmest gamers tend to get aggressive towards their devices when things go wrong or when game scores are not what they expected. We already know that in order to keep one’s device safe, it should be empowered with a calculated design and bold hardware. Having a great gaming laptop is not just about showing off in public, but it is also about quality. So, we are waiting for your opinions about this gaming laptop.
