Saints Row 4: National Treasure Edition coming early next month

If you’ve never played Saints Row 4 before, now is your chance to get it on all the crazy fun. Deep Silver announced that a special edition of their open world action-adventure title will be hitting the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on July 8th. Entitled Saints Row 4: National Treasure Edition, this is a bundle that includes both the main game and all of DLC. The game features a grand total of 29 dowloadable content packs, which together cost more than $60. However, in order to keep us entertained during the summer, the company is offering the full package for the bargain price of 30 bucks in both digital and physical format. Here a few of the most interesting DLC that come included with Saints Row 4: National Treasure Edition.

Among the plethora of DLC you might notice something called the GAT V pack. This is a play on words of GTA V, as you might have guessed already. The downloadable content was given for free to PC gamers on release date as GTA V was not available for the platform. The two titles are similar in many ways, although Saints Row 4 takes the fun aspect to a whole new level.

While in Saints Row : The Third you were put into the shoes of a street gang leader, the latest entry in the series has you playing as none other than the president of the United States. As if leading the whole country wasn’t difficult enough you also have to deal with an alien invasion. Early on in the game the aliens place you into a simulation of Steelport where you have to battle enemies from your past as well as the ET’s themselves. Luckily, you’re not just any old president. In the simulation you happen to have superpowers, which should help you with the endeavor of saving the planet.
