Evolve is the latest game to be delayed until 2015

This year has been a very strange one for the gaming industry. A plethora of great titles were scheduled to come out in 2014 but a whole bunch of them have already been delayed. It started with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and Batman: Arkham Knight, then it continued with The Order: 1886 and Battlefield: Hardline. Now publisher Take-Two Interactive announced that Turtle Rock Studio’s highly anticipated co-op fps, Evolve has also been pushed back until 2015. The game was originally supposed to come out on October 21st, but it looks like the pressure finally got to its publisher. For those of you who don’t know, October will be absolutely jam packed with high profile titles, each more awesome than the last.

For example, Battlefield: Hardline and The Evil Within were initially meant to come out on the same day as Evolve. But as mentioned, both Battlefield: Hardline and Evolve have been delayed, and The Evil Within will actually release one week sooner than anticipated. This means that there will be no major releases on October 21st even though there was supposed to be no less than three. Some other big games initially scheduled for an October release include: Alien: Isolation, Dragon Age: Inquisition, Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor, Borderlands: The Pre-sequel, Civilization: Beyond Earth, Assassin’s Creed Unity, Lords of the Fallen, and Sunset Overdrive. Dragon Age: Inquisition was also delayed, albeit only until November 18th while Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor’s release date has been moved to September 30th. The rest of these titles will still come out in October. Or will they?

It’s hard to say anymore with so many delays, but hopefully Evolve was the last one. One thing is for certain though. 2014 was, and still continues to be a great year for gaming but 2015 will be absolutely crazy considering the massive amount of titles scheduled to come out then. Evolve will be released on February 10, 2015 for PS4, Xbox One, and the PC.
