Alien: Isolation goes gold and receives new trailer
Alien: Isolation, the survival-horror game based on the famous movie series, has gone gold, according to publisher Sega. For those who don’t know, when a game goes gold it means that development is complete and the product is ready for multiplication and sending to distributors. The publisher also announced that they will release a series of trailers for it, called “How Will You Survive”. The first one is already out and can be viewed below. It shows some gameplay footage, representing Amanda going through several areas of the station and trying to get out of certain desperate situations.
According to the developer, Creative Assembly, Alien: Isolation will be set in an atmoshpere of constant dread and mortal danger. Players will take control of Amanda, Ellen Ripley’s daughter, fifteen years after the events from the first movie. Amanda has to fight for her survival while trying to find out the truth about her mother’s disappearance. Players will navigate through a world where they will have to face a terrified population and a ruthless Alien.
Alien: Isolation will be released on October 7, for Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4 and PC. The game promises to be extremely scary and to put the main character in a battle for survival. So far, nothing that hasn’t been exploited so far. However, it will be interesting to see how the events in the game unfold and how/if they are tied to the movies somehow. At the time of writing, the game can be pre-ordered for $45.99. There are two pre-order pakcages with extra content as well. The Nostromo Edition contains the “Crew Expendable” expansion pack, which reunites the old crew from the movie and players take the roles of either Dallas, Parker or Ellen Ripley as they attempt to get rid of the Alien. The second pack, The Ripley Edition, also contains the “Last Survivor” expansion in which players take control of Ellen Ripley, as she is the last person alive on the Nostromo.
