New Driveclub update rolling out in the next 24 hours

This week has been pretty busy for Evolution Studios, as they are constantly working to find solutions to restore full server functionality for Driveclub players. After the 1.03 update failed to mend the broken pieces, Paul Rustchynsky¬†and his team will release a new update in the next 24 hours, which will hopefully reignite the previously disabled online functions (challenges and social updates), and fix existing sever issues. Developers promise an improved server performance, as well as optimized clubs and multiplayer functionality. “Over the next 24 hours we are rolling out a new game update alongside server upgrades that will help to improve server performance, clubs and multiplayer functionality,” the official Facebook post reads.

Waves of discontent are swerving in as a result of these ongoing post-launch issues, many PS4 users asking for a refund, or giving developers a final notice to sort out these technical difficulties. This is not the kind of launch Evolution would have anticipated for Driveclub I’m sure, as its main Xbox One rival, Forza Horizon did not encounter this type of online problems. Perhaps this is just a dark phase in the new PS4 life of the game, and players will have a less bumpy ride from now on. Developers say they are trying their best to make that happen. “We are also running essential diagnostics periodically to help us continue to improve server performance, which may disrupt online play for you when you get connected. This will be kept to a minimum.”

“We’re glad that more of you are getting to play online but we are sorry that many players are still having a hard time getting connected. We are working around the clock to improve connectivity and will keep you informed as we continue to make progress.”

A part of the damage seems to have already been done, as the PS Plus Edition has been delayed, and the trust level among fans must be pretty low by now. Evolution officials finally pleaded for more feedback from fans to help them improve the overall game performance.
