DayZ 2015 Roadmap and Price Increase

Fans looking to jump from the mod to the standalone of DayZ may want to get in while they can enter Chenarus at a cheaper price, as the game’s price will be raised from $29.99 to $34.99. Luckily for those DayZ fans, the game is currently 15% off on Steam, which is still cheaper than it was. The DayZ standalone has had a rough year and it looks like it may be getting more eventful in it’s 2nd year of development, that is if the developers are able to stick to the timetables given in their DayZ 2015 Roadmap. The roadmap was announced today by the developer Hicks and it is full of things the DayZ development team want to get done in 2015.

The roadmap and price increase aren’t the only things to come up today, as Hicks also announced that they currently plan for the final version of DayZ to be available during the first half of 2016.  While these things are all very eventful and bring some promise to DayZ’s future, the game is still rather unfinished, so it should be interesting to see if they can land in the first half of 2016. All of these things are also not guaranteed and the list may change, as this is the list of what the DayZ developers want to happen, they aren’t things that will absolutely happen. It is still possible for certain features on DayZ’s roadmap to be pushed back at any time.Hicks also mentioned the final price of DayZ, which will be $49.99 upon it’s release.

Here is the roadmap of DayZ of what the developers hope to accomplish in 2015:
