Resident Evil Revelations 2 Trailer Showcases Barry Burton
Resident Evil Revelations 2 was recently announced to be showing up at the PlayStation Experience this weekend. Ahead of the event, a new trailer for the game has been released showcasing the return of a fan favorite character.
In a new trailer for Resident Evil Revelations 2 (seen below), we see that Barry Burton will be making a return to the series. Barry is looking for his daughter Moira, who is trapped on the island the game takes place on with series veteran Claire Redfield. In the trailer, Barry is packing a lot of extra heat, meaning we may have great action sequences featuring the grizzled old veteran. In Revelations 2, Claire has a partner in Moira. Likewise, Barry will also have a partner to assist him throughout the game. A young girl named Natasha Korda will assist Barry, who has psychic abilities that lets her sense enemies and find hidden items.
Teamwork will be key in Resident Evil Revelations 2, as the player and their partner will perform special actions, such as boosting each other up or healing each other. Along with Barry, the game will follow Claire Redfield and Barry’s daughter Moira as they try to escape off of an island that they find themselves trapped on. The game’s plot will take place between Resident Evil 5 and 6. Revelations 2 will be split into 4 different episodes, and is the first Resident Evil game to follow this method of distribution.
Resident Evil Revelations 2 will begin on February 17th. The game will be available on the PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and the Xbox One. One episode will premiere a week. Players can purchase a season pass that will come with bonus content. Once the season is done, a complete version of the game will be released, which will also include extra content. Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be featured at the PlayStation Experience, which you can check out here.
