Mortal Kombat X new character to be revealed early next month
Are you excited to find out who the next character coming to Mortal Kombat X is? Of course you are. Although we can’t tell you for certain right now who he or she is, we will say that the latest addition to the roster will be revealed early next month. GameMasters Magazine recently visited NetherRealm Studios for an exclusive interview and they will be publishing all the juicy new info in the next issue of their magazine, which comes out on January 2nd. Aside from finding out about the new Mortal Kombat X character, the publication also managed to learn quite a bit about the online multiplayer component of the game.
NetherRealm Studios previously stated that the Mortal Kombat X roster will consist of both new and old characters from the series. Thus far, the developer revealed ten characters, namely Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Goro, Raiden, Kano, Quan Chi, Cassie Cage, Kotal Khan, Ferra/Torr, and D’Vorrah. If the last four names don’t sound familiar it’s because those are all new characters. Meanwhile, the last three to be revealed have all been fighters that we all know and love from the previous installments. I suspect that on January 2nd GameMasters will reveal yet another previously unseen character for Mortal Kombat X, but that’s just a hunch, so take it for what it is.
MK X executive producer Shaun Himmerick confirmed not long ago that the game is now in the final stages of development and that most of the character models have been finished. This means the time for other big reveals is undoubtedly approaching and we might hear more announcements related to the game next month. Mortal Kombat X will be released on April 14th, 2015 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PS3, PS4, and the PC. Stay tuned for all the latest news and updates.
