Pre-Load Resident Evil HD Now

Pre-Load Resident Evil HD right now on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The game will be available on January 20. With the ability to pre-load Resident Evil HD it will be accessible as soon as it hits 12am Eastern Time. The ability to pre-load Resident Evil HD is also not the first game with that feature, as The Evil Within, Call of Duty Advanced Warfare and Grand Theft Auto V. Resident Evil HD will take up about 14.2 GB of space on your hard drive, not too much compared to the 40+ of Grand Theft Auto V and Halo The Master Chief Collection. The feature was first available on PC and Steam and then came to the new consoles beginning on PlayStation 4 with Destiny.

Resident Evil HD is an updated remake of Resident Evil on GameCube which released in 2002. The GameCube title itself was a remake of the original 1996 game which was a PlayStation game. This new update will include 1080p HD resolution and 5.1 surround sound. Some new control options have been added and there will be a widescreen function. While the game will be coming to PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows but you can only pre-load Resident Evil HD on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. You can also cross-buy Resident Evil HD on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 by pre-ordering the title. Pre-ordering the game will also get you an exclusive theme that I’m sure not many will actually use and/or care about. Japan will be getting a limited retail release for the PlayStation 3 copy so expect those to show up on Ebay for high prices shortly after release.

Capcom is surely hoping that this Resident Evil will help their financial struggles as their financial income has been down compared to 2013, mostly due to having no titles. Resident Evil Revelations 2 will also presumably help their finances as it will be taking an episodic approach to content delivery, much like TellTale’s The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones series.
