MWC 2015: Sony hosting a conference on March 2

As you all know, the Mobile Word Congress is set to kick off on March 2nd in Barcelona, Spain and Sony will reportedly be among the first ones to host a conference within the confines of the trade show. The MWC brings together companies and manufacturers from all over the world who will introduce the latest and greatest in terms of their newest technology. We are expecting wearables, smartphones, tablets and other mobile and non-mobile devices to make an appearance at the MWC.

Most notably, Sony, Samsung, HTC, LG and Huawei will be highlights at the MWC as people are getting more and more excited about what the companies will be bringing to the stage. We’ve been talking a lot about the MWC lately, as most rumors of new flagship devices can’t avoid mentioning the event as a possible release date/location for devices. Lately, we’ve been speculating that the LG G4, HTC One M9, Samsung Galaxy S6, Huawei (Ascend) Mate 8, Acer Windows Phones and many other devices will be launched at the MWC.

Sony is going to be among the exhibitors and we’re hoping that we’ll see the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 being displayed. While we’re not sure if our suppositions are correct, it still is likely that Sony will bring the new Xperia Z4 line-up to the MWC this year. Even though previous rumors and product placement ads peg the phone for a May-November launch, we are confident that Sony won’t hold out that long.

Recent rumors say that MWC will most likely host other devices from the Japanese company instead of the Xperia Z4, we’re just hoping it’s not another overpriced walkman. Whichever the case may be, we are still going to be excited about the flagship and its brethren, regardless of whether they are launched at the MWC or not.

Rumor has it that the Xperia Z4 will be as waterproof as previous devices, featuring an upgraded FHD display, Snapdragon 810 CPU, 4 GB RAM and massive camera setup. While these are more expectations than leaks, we hope Sony manages to get back on track and become a successful member of the smartphone market. Maybe issuing a Windows Phone edition of an Xperia Z4 or other Xperia devices would be a good idea? We’re not sure. In any case, we are looking forward to the MWC!
