New HTC One set for March 1st launch event at MWC

HTC UK has just confirmed on Twitter that “the new HTC One” will be launched on March 1st 2015. That’s just a day ahead of the official kick-off of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. The tagline HTC UK has shared for the new HTC One is “let them stare”, which suggests we are in for a treat on the first. In some cultures, March 1st is the day on which men give women small tokens of Spring, which consist of mainly brooches that are colored in red and white, as symbols of Spring. HTC is going to honor this tradition in its own way, by celebrating the first day of Spring all over the world, for all genders, with the new HTC One M9.

We’ve known for a long time that the HTC One M9 would be launched at the MWC, but the Taiwanese company hadn’t actually confirmed it with a statement until now. Thanks to HTC UK, we can now say with 100 % certainty that the HTC One M9, which goes by Hima in some groups, will be launched at a proprietary event hosted by the company on March 1st.

The new HTC One is said to be the epitome of perfection for the company, as various leaks and rumors suggest it will overpower most of the devices that will be launched this year. As a short rumor round-up, the HTC One M9 will most likely sport a 5 inch FHD display, Snapdragon 810 CPU, 3 GB RAM, 64 GB internal storage, a massive battery and a vastly improved 20 MP camera on the rear with optical image stabilization and a 5 MP camera on the front. Android 5.0 Lollipop will be on top of the hardware, and Sense 7.0, the new UI from HTC will improve the interface.

We’re looking forward to the HTC event on March 1st and we’re excited to learn more about the HTC One M9. We are wondering if the device will be priced as well as the One M8 was and if the design will be improved. We are also hoping, alongside many other HTC fans, that the HTC One M8 will come with thinner bezels on the top and bottom and BoomSound speakers that are just better than any other smartphone speakers out there. What do you think the HTC One M9 will bring to the table?
