Project X Zone 2 Announced for Nintendo 3DS
Back in 2013, Bandai Namco released Project X Zone on the 3DS. The RPG brought together characters from Capcom, Bandai Namco, and SEGA into one game. The title was well received amongst gamers. Project X Zone sold over 400,000 copies. Bandai Namco has officially announced that Project X Zone 2 is coming to Nintendo 3DS. The tactical RPG title is being developed by Monolith Software.
Project X Zone 2 will once again bring together characters from Capcom, SEGA, and Bandai Namco. No details on the story were released. The first Project X Zone combined a diverse cast of characters, unique gameplay, and witty humor. Bandai Namco is hoping that this formula will also work for Project X Zone 2. The game will feature characters from franchises like Resident Evil, MegaMan X, Devil May Cry, Tekken, Dead Souls, Virtua Fighters, and more.
Monolith is hoping that new characters will attract new players to the game. Haseo from .hack//G.U. and Kazuma Kiryu from Yakuza: Dead Souls are some of the newest characters in Project X Zone 2. Bandai Namco is optimistic about the game. Herve Hoerdt Bandai Namco VP of IP Strategy EU believes that Project X Zone 2 can be a serious contender to be an appreciated tactical RPG. Hoerdt added that the game’s recognized characters and gameplay will appeal to players.
Bandai Namco is promising that Project X Zone 2 will get a boost from several characters. Monolith will reveal new details in the coming months. The developers will also be adding new languages for subtitles in French, Italian, German and Spanish. Project X Zone 2 will launch in stores and digitally (Nintendo eShop) this Fall 2015.
