More Rise of the Tomb Raider Gameplay Footage Released

A week after E3, Rise of the Tomb Raider has picked up exactly where it left off. A new gameplay trailer has been released that looks to take place shortly after the avalanche scene that we all saw last week. The new trailer gives us an extra 14 minutes of action in the Siberian Wilderness. With not one, but two bear battles! Hopefully bears appear in more places in the game than just cave entrances. So get ready to do battle with the Siberian wilderness in Rise of the Tomb Raider come this November. Judging by what’s been released so far, it looks like we can expect very similar gameplay to Tomb Raider – but hopefully with more tombs and puzzles.

The new trailer reveals the evil organization, Trinity, that dukes it out with Lara in Rise of the Tomb Raider. Trinity was also mentioned a few times in Tomb Raider, but we still don’t know what they actually want to achieve. They’re obviously doing something nefarious at Kitezh and playing as Lara we will be doing our best to thwart them. Unfortunately, the trailer makes it look like they’ve arrived at the secret city first.

The Siberian Wilderness trailer also details the return of campfires and Lara’s bow for Rise of the Tomb Raider. It looks like crafting will play a large part once again, either for upgrading weapons or concocting those neat looking green explosive gas arrows. In addition to this, there were several neat little parkour moments in the trees. It looks like Rise of the Tomb Raider will be giving players a few more options for navigating the Siberian wilderness.
