The filming for the Mortal Kombat 2 movie has come to an end

In 2022, news broke that a sequel to the Mortal Kombat movie reboot was in the works. In a recent update, the movie’s producer, Todd Garner, and actor, Lewis Tan, have officially confirmed that filming has concluded.

Tan took to social media to share some posts from the wrap party, while Garner treated fans to a short video message. In the message, she reflected on the “incredible journey” but also managed to temper expectations by advising fans not to hold their breath for a trailer just yet.

In addition to the current cast, the sequel will introduce new characters and actors. Warning: The following contains spoilers…Karl Urban, who is well-known for his role in The Boys, will play Johnny Cage. He will also be joined by Martyn Ford as Shao Khan, Adeline Rudolph, who will portray Princess Kitana, and Damon Herriman as Quan Chi.
