Apple sent out invites for the iPhone 6, iWatch and iOS 8 launch event
Everyone has been talking about the iPhone 6 and its launch date for the last several months, and with good reason. Apple’s upcoming flagship smartphone is the most anticipated iPhone ever and arguably the most anticipated device of the year. Previous rumors suggested that Apple will be hosting a big media event on September 9th and we should expect the handset to be officially announced and detailed then. It looks like those weren’t just mere rumors as the tech giant recently started sending out invites for this event. Apple didn’t actually say that the iPhone 6 will be unveiled there, but it’s a pretty safe bet if you ask me, or anybody else for that matter.
As you may or may not know, the device will come in two variants, a 4.7-inch one and a 5.5-inch one. Initially it was believed that only the smaller phone will be announced next month, with the bigger model to follow at a later time. However, word on the street now is that we may see both of them at the September 9th event, although nothing is certain at this time. Aside from the iPhone 6, Apple is also expected to launch the iWatch at the event. The smarwatch was previously believed to have been delayed until 2015, but it seems the company recently had a change of heart.
Both the Moto 360 and the LG G Watch R will be launched early next month so one would assume that Apple wants to release the iWatch in September as well in order to compete with them. Finally, Cupertino is also expected to launch the iOS 8 alongside the iPhone 6 and the smartwatch so September 9th will definitely be an exciting day for tech enthusiasts in general and Apple fans in particular. We’ll let you know as soon as we hear anything else so stay tuned and make sure to mark you calendars.
