Galaxy A3 – SM-A300 leaked
Samsung has announced previously that it would be launching a new A series line of smartphones, inspired by the design and build of the Galaxy Alpha, which was an attempt to make a more attractive phone with a premium build. Last week, we’ve seen the Galaxy A5, model number SM-A500 leaked, but this times we’ve received new information about a mid-range device in the Galaxy A series.
The Galaxy A5 sports a 5 inch Super AMOLED display, 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400, 2 GB RAM, 13 MP rear camera and 5 MP front shooter. The Galaxy A5 will supposedly have s16 GB internal storage with a microSD card slot built in if you want to expand that storage space. A 2330 mAH battery will be providing the juice for the Galaxy A5 and for Android 4.4 KitKat to run smoothly. The Galaxy A5 is said to be built of a material that isn’t metal, but it still feels cold to the touch, but at the same time it isn’t plastic, yet it still feels light in the hand. What could Samsung be planning here?
The Galaxy A3, model number SM-A300 on the other hand, is more of a mid-range device, even though the Galaxy A5 isn’t actually a high-end powerful smartphone like the Galaxy S5 or Galasy Note 4. The Galaxy A3 will supposedly sport a 4.8 inch screen with a 540-960 resolution, Snapdragon 410 CPU, Adreno 306 GPU backed by 1 GB RAM. A rumored 8 MP rear and 5 MP front camera will also be featured on the Galaxy A3. The Snapdragon 410 is a 64 bit processor, which would be a nice addition to the mid-ranger. Android 4.4.4 KitKat and an 8 GB storage capability define the phone, but no word of a microSD slot. It’s highly likely that the internal storage will be expandable via microSD card because 8 GB seems a bit small.
Whilst the Galaxy A5 has passed through Chinese certification authorities, confirming its specs and overall existence to us, the Galaxy A3 is still in a rumored stage, but we expect to see it pop up later this week. We don’t know much about pricing and availability of the Galaxy A series, but we do expect premium builds and higher prices, although Samsung might surprise its fans with something more user friendly. One thing is for sure, though: the A series will get released by the Holidays, most likely.
