System Requirements for PES 2015 are surprisingly decent

Konami has officially announced the minimum and recommended system requirements for their upcoming football sim blockbuster, Pro Evolution Soccer 2015. PES 2015 is certainly coming strong from behind with stunning new graphics, realistic behavioral patterns for over 1000 players, enhanced crowd animations and a brand new in-game lighting system. All these new features will bring the game to life, you will feel the players run, behave and play the way they do in real life competition, you will hear the roar of the crowd after a near miss, or a brutal foul, you will hear them chant passionately and boo in frustration when players do not live up to their expectations.

The new lighting system of PES 2015 will allow for players, crowd and stadium to be highlighted from a single source hence providing a more natural feel to the game. Moving on to the PC system requirements, Konami has released some curious and surprisingly reasonable specs to be honest, that players’ rigs will have to meet in order to “tackle” the game. Perhaps this has something to do with the fact that PES 2015 has been ranked as a hybrid title that will combine old and new gen of games. PES brand manager, Adam Bhatti previously said that the PC version of PES 2015 will include the same modes and gameplay as the PS4 and Xbox One versions, with better graphics than the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions. What we can deduct from this is that the PC version of PES 2015 will be somewhere in between, and will not showcase the same level of graphics detail as the next-gen console versions will. Let’s take a look at what type of rigs we’ll be needing to play PES 2015:

Minimum requirements

  • Windows 7 SP1 / Vista SP2
  • Intel Core 2 Duo @ 1.8GHz (AMD Athlon II X2 240 or equivalent processor)
  • 1GB RAM
  • Nvidia GeForce 7800/ATI Radeon X1300/Intel HD Graphics 2000
  • DirectX 9.0c video card with 512MB
  • 8GB HDD space

Recommended requirements

  • Windows 7 SP1 / Vista SP2
  • Intel Core i3 530 (AMD Phenom II X4 925 or equivalent processor)
  • 2GB RAMĀ
  • Nvidia GeForce 7950/ATI Radeon HD 2400/Intel HD Graphics 3000
  • DirectX 9.0c video card with 1024MB
  • 8GB HDD space

It’s pretty hard to believe really, when looking at these PC specs, but there you have it. A 5 year old computer will probably get the job done with no problems whatsoever. Already, PC players are requesting via Twitter a patch that would make up for the graphics shortcomings between PC and next-gen platforms. PES 2015 is scheduled to arrive on November 11 in North America, and November 13 in Europe. As stated above, the game will be available on PC, old and new gen gaming consoles.
