Galaxy Golden 2 specs, pictures leaked

The Samsung Galaxy Golden 2 is a flip phone that has been showing up online at TENAA and different leakers, and rumor has it that it’s going to be one of the most impressive flip phones Samsung has made in the past few years. TENAA is the equivalent of the FCC in China and the Galaxy Golden 2 has shown up with pictures and specs in its records. The Galaxy Golden 2 is an Android-running dual-screen smartphone with an upgraded spec sheet compared to the Galaxy Golden.

Rumor has it that the Galaxy Golden 2 will be exclusive to China and will be launched at China Telecom for starters. Although the Galaxy Golden 2 might be exclusive to China, we might see it pop up on the Korean and Indian market, as well, just like its predecessor, the Galaxy Golden just about a year ago. According to recent leaked photos and TENAA certification, the Galaxy Golden 2 specs include two 3.9 inch Super AMOLED displays with a 768*1280 resolution on both. The Galaxy Golden 2 will be powered by a quad core Snapdragon 801 CPU clocked at 2.5 GHz, backed by 2 GB RAM, 16 GB expandable internal storage and Adreno 330 GPU. The Galaxy Golden 2 camera setup includes a 16 MP sensor on the back and a 2 MP selfie-shooter on the front. 4K recording will supposedly be a feature for both the front and rear cameras of the Galaxy Golden 2.

The Galaxy Golden 2 will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box, probably with a usual touch of TouchWiz overlaid. The handset has not yet been confirmed by Samsung, so these specs are definitely subject to change. With that in mind, take these rumors with a grain of salt until Samsung fesses up about the new clamshell Galaxy Golden 2. Until then, we can only estimate a $400 price tag, since the Galaxy Golden 2 specs are pretty high-end. Although the phone might look bulky at first, it does measure only 8.5 mm in thickness, which is thinner than the Nexus 6. Alternative designs for flagships and smartphones have been on the rise with the apparition of the Galaxy Note Edge and Sharp Aquos Crystal and it seems like people are getting tired of the old rectangle-shaped phone. We are curious to see how the Galaxy Golden 2 will fare on the Chinese market and whether it would make it to European or American markets.
