Are Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive coming to PC?

According to a few listings posted on Amazon France – [here] and [here] – Xbox One exclusives Forza Horizon 2 and Sunset Overdrive might not be so exclusive after all, as both titles might be making their way to the PC, as well. Though neither game features a concrete release date, Forza Horizon 2 shows a one to two month ship-time from Amazon, while both it and Sunset Overdrive list Windows 7 or 8 as available platforms. Back in October, a supposed ad for Sunset Overdrive listed the PC as one of its platforms, although it was called a “simple mistake” by Xbox Platform Manager Mike Ybarra on Twitter.

Sunset Overdrive allows players to navigate the open-world metropolis of Sunset City in 2027. The dystopian world is controlled by a corporation called FizzCo. The player-character – whose gender, skin-tone, and body-type can be completely customised – is a FizzCo employee tasked with cleaning up the mess left behind from a party FizzCo has thrown in celebration of the launch of their new energy drink, Overcharge Delirium XT. As such, players fight the OD’d humans who have mutated from drinking too much of the energy drink. The game focuses on “agile combat”, including wall-running, zip-lines, and acrobatics, in addition to using grind-rails to deftly navigate city streets. On-foot, players cannot run or take cover, but instead must rely on agility to survive.

Forza Horizon 2 again takes place during the fictional ‘Horizon Festival’, this time being held in southern Europe, focusing on southern France and northern Italy. The game world has approximately three times more drivable area than that for the original Forza Horizon, with events set in Provence, Tuscany, and Côte d’Azur, among other regions. Players will explore the region, taking part in races and special events in order to advance through the game. Events can take place at day or night, and a dynamic weather system is being added for the first time in a Forza game.
