New Gameplay for Batman – Arkham Knight is Incredible

New gameplay for Batman: Arkham Knight has been released. On the games’ official Facebook page a post reads; “We’re unveiling the first episode of our gameplay trailer series ‘Ace Chemicals Infiltration’ today. Here’s Part One, featuring brand new Batman combat, navigation and stealth moves, plus a look at what the Batmobile can really do…” And that’s exactly what the trailer did excellently. We haven’t seen much from the game since E3 so fresh gameplay is appreciated. Set a year after the events of Batman: Arkham City, Scarecrow has threatened Gotham City with fear toxin bombs which are spread throughout the city. The whole city evacuates leaving only criminals and the Gotham City Police department headed up by Commissioner Jim Gordon. Batman has to face other villains such as Penguin, Two-Face and Harley Quinn who have teamed up to take out the Batman.  In the new gameplay we get to see what the moment to moment gameplay of Batman: Arkham Knight will be like. The game seems to be all about quick, efficient movement with Batman able to string stealth takedowns together and glide around the large city even quicker. Taking place in the center of Gotham the map is said to be five times to size of Arkham City’s area. The city will be broken up into three key island areas consisting of many locations including the neon China town and the industrial shipping yard. The free flowing combat is here as ever but with more environmental attacks. Most notably Batman cutting a light shade out of the roof onto a foe. Of course the Batmobile plays a key part in the game and in the demo. We see it in combat with android controlled vehicles and Batman at anytime being able to rocket out of it seamlessly into a glide. We get to hear the fantastic portrayal Scarecrow by the tv show Fringe’s John Noble as well as seeing and hearing the Arkham Knight. And of course graphically the game looks incredible. The game is set for a June 2 release date and with a new gameplay trailer set for December 1 the hype for this game just got even stronger.
