Top 10 Android Games For This Winter
Winter is coming, but that’s not all that is here. Android has had some great games come out in the past several months, but these aren’t just that. These are games that I have stumbled upon that have merely caught my attention for various reasons. These games may have put me in the season or maybe they just recently updated. Whatever the reason may be, these games are the best Android games I have played recently:
A game I played on PC and loved, it’s mobile version is not much different than it’s original. The game is an epic Viking Saga that gives the player some very intriguing decisions, visuals, and gameplay. At the low price of $4.99 it’s a hard game to not recommend to everyone. As it’s just a great game all around and one of the best indie games to come out this year as a whole. It also somewhat brings you in the mood of the season as it is set in a rather frigid area with vikings, snow, and death… the perfect combination!
Five Nights At Freddy’s 2
Another game that is originally from PC. While Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 isn’t exactly Winter, it is a great port that embodies the horror feeling from it’s PC counterpart. The first one is on Android as well, but the game isn’t exactly story heavy. It’s more about the thrill than anything and the Android counterpart, while not as thrilling, still does the game justice at the low price of $2.99.
Kingdom Rush Origins
While tower defense games are fairly common, but Kingdom Rush Origins is an interesting one for Android. It’s a prequel in the Kingdom Rush series, but I have played any of the previous installments and I’ve been having a blast. I do think that it’s one of the best tower defense games currently on Android devices.
This game… is actually one of the best Android games I have played period. It’s a very beautiful and elaborate game that brings out the best in Android games. The game has some incredible moments and it’s overall enhanced by a brilliant design. It’s not surprise that critics were swept up by this Android game, as it’s a great one and one you probably shouldn’t miss.
oh my giraffe
It’s an interesting little Android game that has you playing a giraffe. You eat fruit while being chased by lions, but above all it’s really fun. It’s a quirky little game that is a fairly cheap game at $1.99. It may not be the most intense game and it may not push you to your limits, but it’s definitely a fun game worth playing.
Baldur’s Gate Enhanced Edition
For some reason RPGs and strategy games really put me in the winter mood. Baldur’s Gate is not excluded from this and it’s another PC port that’s actually worthwhile on Android. It’s not nearly as great as it is on PC, but it’s definitely a game that is worthwhile to have up your sleeve or more accurately, in your pocket. At $9.99 it brings a classic with you anywhere you go!
Xcom: Enemy Within
There’s a lot of PC ports on this list, but it’s somewhat a good thing. As Xcom has been one of my favorite games on PC for some time and I have played it many times. now, for $12.99 you can play it on your phone! It’s not as great as it is on PC, but it should push your Android and your temper to it’s limits. It’s not exactly a game I feel like I can play in short bursts, but it’s still a great game to grab on your phone. Although you may want to be careful, because it’s also a great way to break your phone out of frustration.
Very interesting game, it’s nothing original the Android though. It does embody two of the best things in life though, it’s fun and it’s free! What more could you ask for? It’s a rather addictive game for the Android and it’s something you should definitely check out due to it’s low low cost of free.
Nothing feels better than crashing things in to other things! At least the game version, real life not so much. Turbo Dismount is another game that’s free and not really worth missing, as it’s somewhat of a crash simulator. More importantly though, it’s ridiculously fun and it’s easy to play. Android users should definitely download Turbo Dismount if they are seeking something that kills time quickly.
Another PC port, but it is a game that is great no matter what. Terraria features a giant world that is great for exploring. It’s pocket edition does not take away from this either, it’s one of those games that you can kill time with and accidentally miss something rather easily. It’s world is beautiful and it’s a blast to play, at $4.99 it’s hard to not grab the game. It’s exploration is a great reason to grab this game and spend hours on it. It’s just one of those games that allows you do that sort of thing with enjoyment.
